Recently, Ferranti was featured on VTM’s show Kan ik het ook? (‘Can I do it too?’), where well-known Flemish personalities step into the shoes of professionals to try their jobs for a day. This time, Virginie Claes visited Ferranti to see if she could create a payment plan for a customer using our MECOMS 365 software!

The challenge: becoming an customer service agent

Virginie was welcomed by our colleagues, Michel Delvaux and Sören Feyens, to experience what it’s like to support end consumers, using MECOMS 365.

Her mission? To act as a customer service agent and successfully create a payment plan for a large invoice, something that looks simple, but requires precision, system understanding, and customer empathy.

After a training session, she jumped into MECOMS 365 to setup a payment plan and create new invoices. The exercise demonstrated how MECOMS 365 empowers customer service agents to manage complex processes in a simple, user-friendly way, supporting utilities across the world to serve their customers efficiently.

Our team’s reaction

For our team, it was inspiring to see someone from outside our industry discover the world of customer service operations. Watching a celebrity learn the ropes as a customer service agent reminded us how much knowledge and technology work hand in hand in our daily routines.

We’re proud that Ferranti and MECOMS 365 could take the spotlight on national television and show how technology, teamwork, and customer service come together. And who knows, maybe this episode will inspire others to explore what it means to be a customer service agent in the energy world.
